Deuces Wild Triathlon

We went to Show Low AZ last weekend for the Triathlon Festival. Shane swam in a lake on a triangular course swimming around buoys for 800 meters. Most of the first half of the mountain bike course consisted of one big climb that got up to 6900 feet before descending back down over the next 8 miles. After that the course remained fairly flat in the last 2 miles. The run started off with a descent but soon turned into a crazy climb. I am so proud of him, and I thought he did an excellent job! It was fun waiting for him to come through the finish line. Although I hadn't anticipated him sprinting towards the end, so I really had to hurry to get that final picture as he came in!!!
