Grand Teton & Yellowstone

We stayed 5 nights at the Signal Mountain Lodge in Grand Teton National Park.  This is a picture of Shane and Michael in front of the Tetons.  It was such an amazing view!
We took a boat ride across Jenny Lake, and hiked up to Hidden Falls.
Pretty spectacular, eh?
We waited about an hour for Old Faithful to go off, and then walked around to see the hot springs and more geysers.  The boys watched it go off again while I ran to get lunch.  We ate our lunch right there by Old Faithful.
One of the many hot springs we saw.
We spent two days in the park.
We drove to West Yellowstone and went to the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center.
This isn't something you see every day, cowboy's herding buffalo.  It was fun to see the cowboy's go in after the buffalo and calves if they wandered off to get a drink.
The boys went on a pony ride.
Matthew did better then I thought he would, as long as he had one of my hands.
Michael feeding his horse, Lucky.
Matthew feeding his horse, Smokin'.
I asked Matthew what the horsey says, and he replied "Yee-haw."  So this is a picture of him telling me. :)
We stayed here in the park, and traveled back and forth from Yellowstone to Jackson Hole.
These two elk brought quite the commotion from all the tourists,  they were fun to see right up close.
We hiked to the Upper Yellowstone Falls.
Shane carried Matthew down over 300 sets of stairs to the Lower Yellowstone Falls.  Michael and Matthew were both troopers, and hiked all the way back up to the top.  With the exception of a few breaks along the way.
One of the many buffalo we saw!
I was pretty excited to see a wild grizzly bear while driving through the park.  I was glad to get a picture of it, so I can always remember how I saw a grizzly in Yellowstone. ;)
I didn't think we would spot a moose, but we finally did our last day there.
This was our view of Jenny Lake from our room at the Lodge.  Our first night the wind was blowing so hard that the power went out.  We had to all go to bed with just a flashlight.
This was our last night, and the sunset was so beautiful as it reflected off of the lake.
We decided to enjoy the lake one more time before we left for home.  It was so cold the first few days on our vacation, but it was nice this morning.
Michael showing us it doesn't get much deeper then his waist.  We all had a fun vacation, and hated for it to end so soon!!

Jackson Hole WY

The famous Antler Arch in Jackson Hole.
Matthew's funny facial expression he does a lot!  This is in Town Square.
We all took turns going on the Alpine Slide.
Michael's not too far behind his Dad!
Here he comes.
His Dad's arm was for comfort every time they started going too fast around corners.
There was this cool park that we waited at until it was time for Shane and Michael to go White Water Rafting.
At the top of the climbing wall.
We watched the Jackson Hole Shootout.
Shane and Michael went White Water Rafting.
Shane asked Michael why he had his head down, Michael's reply was "I was sleeping."  :)

Father's Day up at Bear Lake

My niece, Audrea gathered each family up to help make these cool aprons for the Dad's in their lives.  The kids hand printed them for each Dad.
The kids and their Dad's!
Matthew loves his Dad!  Our children are so lucky to have such a wonderful Father in their lives!!
The cousins would fight over who got to sit next to Matthew.  He loved the attention I think.

Bear Lake Utah

We had our Edstrom Family Reunion up at Bear Lake this year.  My younger brother Trent, and his wife were in charge of getting everything set up.  They did an awesome job with everything, and reserving the cabin we stayed in!  We stayed in a cabin that fit all of us, my parent's, and three of my brother's and their families.
We spent all day Saturday at the Lake.
My Mom was good to keep Matthew entertained digging in the sand.
It can't get better then this!
He can be quite the stinker, and loves to tease people!  My Mom's helping him get someone soaked!
Shane rented this awesome boat, and it was quite the popular item with all the kids.
Matthew and his cousin Ashton were twins with their swim suites.
I didn't know how Matthew would do going out in the boat with Shane, but he seemed to really like it.  We all had such a great time, and look forward to the next reunion!

FuN at the Beach

We went to San Diego for Shane's mud run he does every year.  It was fun hanging out at the beach, and a little bit cooler then Tucson weather.  I don't have any pictures but we also went to Knott's Soak City Water Park.  The kids had a blast playing in the water and everyone had fun going on the water slides except for Matthew. :)
Michael showing us some leg!
Matthew had fun running away from the waves.
The Sea Lions are always a favorite of ours, they're fun to see.
The kids enjoyed looking for crabs in the tide pools.
