The Birthday Boys

Matthew turned '2', and we opened presents the day after his birthday.  Grandma Chism came for both of the boys birthdays.

It was funny to watch Matthew try and open his presents, he didn't really get the whole concept.  Michael about couldn't stand it, because he was so slow.   So needless to say Matthew had quite a bit of help from his older brother!

His new strider bike that Grandma Chism got him.  It will be nice when it starts getting cooler, so he can ride it outside more.

We had a birthday party at our pool, and Matthew had lots of friends come.  It was great, and so much fun!!

I couldn't get the candles lit, so we had a pretend blowing out the candles.  I don't think it mattered, Matthew didn't know the difference. :)

Michael turned '8', and was so excited that the time finally came to open his presents!

Diggin' In

His new Captain America shield, and I didn't get a picture of the mask that goes with it.

Michael had so much fun with his friends at a pool party.  They went swimming, took their turn pulling ribbons from the pinata, and had a lot of pizza, cupcakes, ice cream, soda and candy.

So since he didn't have a cupcake at his own party, because he was too busy in the pool, he had one at Michael's.  I don't think much of it made it in his mouth.

The boys birthdays turned out to be so fun.  We are so grateful for the good friends that we have, and we're glad Grandma Chism was here to celebrate them with us.
